What Inspired Me?

My name is LaShonda Diouf, founder of #BecauseWeCare and I am soliciting your support. I decided to become proactive being that many of my family members were affected by this virus. Although several of my family members have recovered, unfortunately, my uncle passed. My father was in ICU on a ventilator for 16 days and was in the hospital for 22 days. He is now at home recovering. This has been a difficult season, but with the help of my support system, this process has been more tolerable. After speaking with doctors and several nurses over the past weeks, I was informed that many patients in this crisis do not have a support system nor do their love ones have the means to bury them. Because this is uncharted water for all, I decided that it was time to exercise my faith and make something happen. Being that trouble comes to pass and not to stay, the organization, #BecauseWeCare has decided to help families that have been or will be affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic. I am asking you to donate this organization via GoFund Me to help individuals that are or will be affected by Covid-19 with their financial, mental and spiritual obligations. If you have not been affected by this pandemic, I hope and pray you won’t. However, if you have been, I want you to know that help is available and that there are many people in this world who really care about others’ well-being. My organization believes that “Prayer+Faith+Action=Results.” I am pleading that you donate to this organization to help individuals that are or will be directly affected. No amount of money is too big or too small and would be greatly appreciated. I know God calls each of us to do more and give more. We are our brothers’ keeper and we cannot wait for the Governor to help us when we have the means to help each other. #BecauseWeCare is a public organization.
